Yoga is actually much more than that. Your balance will improve greatly and the peace and satisfaction you feel at the end of each session puts you precisely in the mood for a deep meditation.
The internal focus that accompanies the poses helps create a relaxation response in your body. The sense of accomplishment you'll receive from finishing an instructor's course will reward you even if you don't plan to become a full-time instructor.
